I dramatically turned my life around.
I’m beyond grateful for the support that this group gave me during the process. I unpacked the beliefs, stories, and emotions that were holding me back from the purpose, finances, and relationships I wanted. I’d recommend this program to men working to show up better for our families, community, and selves.

 FAQs

  • If you are:

    1. A Dad (including adoptive dads, stepdads, foster dads)

    2. Going through or contemplating divorce/separation, or recently divorced

    3. Committed to learning, growth and healing

    Then YES!

  • Yes. The biggest variable you can control here is the attention you put into this program. If you give consistent, focused attention, and follow through on your action plan, it will work. And for the variables you cannot control, this program will support you to be more resilient and adaptable.

    • Resilience

    • Presence

    • A Plan

    • A Long-game Strategy

    • Tools for Collaborative Communication

    • Some results will be apparent right away. Choosing to give yourself support and connection in a challenging moment, and to invest in your post-divorce life will cultivate a sense of confidence and hope that will shape the divorce process for you.

    • Habit-based practices like meditation and collaborative communication typically take 2-3 months to become established.

    • Other results will show themselves over the years to come. The choices you make during your divorce process will impact your life and your kids' lives for many years, so it is difficult to put a timeline to the results you can expect. This course is designed to support you in creating the conditions for a healthy relationship with your kids, better physical and emotional wellbeing, smoother communication with your former spouse, and a happy family life.

  • No. While our programs are designed to be therapeutic (supportive to your overall health and functioning), they are not therapy.

We highly encourage you to find a good licensed therapist to work with through your divorce. A great place to start is the Psychology Today Therapist Directory

  • No. If you are going through divorce, you should work with an attorney or licensed mediator you trust. We can help you advocate for yourself to get legal support you feel good about, and to develop your vision for your life after divorce so you can strategize with your attorney, financial advisor or doctor. One of the Participation Agreements in RE/Group and our Online Community is to not give advice, as most divorce and parenting groups are flooded with misguided (though well-intentioned) advice.

Members of this community have a lot of experience to share, but each divorce is unique and deserves the attention of professionals with the relevant qualifications.

  • For RE/Course:

    1. Do the work!

    2. Stay Consistent

    For RE/Group:

    1. Participate

    2. Keep Confidentiality

    3. Take Consistent Action

    4. Show Respect (to other members & facilitators, to yourself, to your kids, to your former spouse)

  • We are currently working to be included in more employee benefit programs. Many companies are including divorce coaching in their wellness packages. Please feel free to put us in touch with your benefits coordinator or HR department, and we will follow up with them to see if your tuition can be covered.

  • We recommend you work through it consistently, planning on 1 Module per week. We realize the divorce and rebuilding process is not always straightforward though, so take the time you need. If you need support in accountability to work through it, consider joining one of the facilitated groups where dads support and challenge each other toward milestones in the process of building.

  • For the moment, no. Those programs are valuable in terms of basic communication and logistics, conflict prevention, as well as preventing situations where the kids are used against the other parent. This course includes some similar topics, but extends much further into the areas of growth, healing, and rebuilding.
